Dhanlaxmi Bank has named Ajith Kumar KK as its new Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective June 20, 2024. The appointment was confirmed during a recent board meeting, as reported in the bank’s regulatory filing.
Ajith Kumar KK brings over 36 years of extensive banking experience, having held various key roles at Federal Bank. His expertise includes Credit, Human Resources, Business Development, and Branch Banking. Most recently, he served as the Chief Human Resources Officer at Federal Bank, holding the position of President.
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) approved his appointment on April 18, and his tenure will span three years. Dhanlaxmi Bank will seek shareholder approval for his appointment in compliance with the Companies Act, 2013, and Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) regulations within the required timeframe.
Kumar’s vast experience and leadership in the banking sector are anticipated to steer Dhanlaxmi Bank towards its next phase of growth and operational excellence
