TIAA, Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association of America, has appointed Renu Vijayanand as Senior Managing Director and Chief Human Resources Officer for its India Operations.
In her new role, she will lead the strategic initiatives of the India People Team, focusing on transformation, culture, and strategic organizational endeavors.
Confirming her appointment on LinkedIn, Renu expressed her excitement about the new role, stating, “Excited to share about my new position as Senior Managing Director and Chief Human Resources Officer India at TIAA.”
Renu brings over three decades of extensive experience in global organizations across Banking, Financial Services, and Technology sectors. She has demonstrated leadership in shaping human capital strategies, including strategic workforce planning, organization design, talent development, engagement, performance, and total rewards, all aligned with organizational objectives.
Before joining TIAA, Renu held various leadership roles at MUFG, with her most recent position being Global Co-Head of Human Resources Business Partners (HRBP). Her professional journey includes notable stints at Crédit Agricole CIB, Lehman Brothers, Capgemini, Tech Pacific India Ltd. (now Ingram Micro), Larsen & Toubro, and Lakmé Ltd.
Renu holds a Post-Graduate Programme in Management (MBA) from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Economics from the University of Mumbai.
