Carol Furtado has been appointed as the Executive Director of Ujjivan Small Finance Bank for a term of three years, commencing from May 1. The appointment has received approval from the Reserve Bank of India.
Throughout the bank’s inception, Ms. Furtado has occupied various pivotal roles, including Chief Business Officer, Director of Operations and Service Quality, and Head of Human Resources. She played a vital role within the leadership team that laid the foundation of Ujjivan.
With over 29 years of experience in non-banking financial companies and retail banks, Furtado made significant contributions to the organization’s evolution from NBFC-MFI to a small finance bank. Prior to her postgraduate studies at the Mount Carmel Institute of Management in Bangalore, she held positions at the ANZ Group, Bank Muscat, and Centurion Bank.
