Bacardi India elevates Sameeksha Uniyal as regional brand head for AMEA

Bacardi India Private Limited, the world’s largest privately held spirits company, has announced the elevation of Sameeksha Uniyal to Regional Head of Brand for AMEA (Asia, Middle East & Africa) this April, aiming to enhance business growth in the region.

Having steered the success of Bacardi India’s rum portfolio since 2016, Sameeksha previously held the role of Brand Lead for BACARDÍ in India, driving growth for associated brands in the country. Over her seven-year tenure, she has led numerous significant marketing initiatives, including overseeing the rollout of BACARDÍ’s It’s A Mood campaign in India. In her new capacity, she will oversee marketing and business operations for BACARDÍ’s rum brands across the broader AMEA region.

Reflecting on her appointment, Sameeksha expressed, “My journey at Bacardi has been fueled by passion and a drive to push boundaries; I am thrilled to embark on this new chapter of collectively expanding the Bacardi brand portfolio across the AMEA region. It marks the beginning of an exciting adventure, and I am eager to leverage my expertise to collaborate with our exceptional teams and foster greater consumer affinity and enthusiasm for our brands across diverse cultures and markets.”

Assuming Sameeksha’s former role, Ashish Jha will now lead the BACARDÍ rum portfolio in India, transitioning from his previous position as Senior Brand Manager for BACARDÍ rums & BREEZER.
