Patil will take on the role of Executive Creative Director. He will report to VMLY&R India’s Chief Creative Officer, Mukund Olety. Rajshekar’s most recent position was as ECD at Publicis Worldwide India.
Rajshekar is an award-winning integrated advertising executive with 18 years of experience working at the crossroads of creativity and technology. He oversaw Skoda Motors, Citi, Zee5, and the Times Group at Publicis Mumbai. He has worked on TV commercials for Skoda Superb, Rapid, and the debut of the Karoq, as well as Citi and Zee Cafe promotions. His mandate included infusing digital thinking into all brands.
He is the Co-Founder of Snap Counsellors, an award-winning teen hotline on Snapchat, and a kid-tech firm developed at a London innovation incubator. He also assisted with the debut of Apple in India, producing numerous pieces to the Shot on the iPhone campaign, which won the Grand Prix.
Rajshekar will oversee the agency’s creative capabilities, assist with campaign conceptualization, and support the agency’s creative vision at VMLY&R. He will also support a culture of creativity, inclusion, and innovation as a member of the leadership team.

Rajshekar has been recognized with D&AD Impact, One Show, Cannes, Effies APAC, Spikes Tangrams, etc. He is a Computer Science graduate who landed accidentally in the creative department of Ogilvy and Mather and never left. His previous stints were at BBDO India, Media Arts Lab (Apple’s agency), BBH India and Ogilvy & Mather.
