Phaneesh Gururaj, President – Technology, has been appointed to manage the engineering and innovation team at Koo, India’s own microblogging platform. Koo has put together a best-in-class engineering team that will work closely with Phaneesh to offer structure and direction to establishing a powerful technological platform from India, for India. Prior to joining Koo, Phaneesh was the head of redBus’ Engineering and Product teams.
Along with Phaneesh, the technical team will include Badri Narayan, Google’s VP Engineering, Pavan Kunchapu, GoJek’s VP & Head Mobile, and Walmart Labs’ Vivek Yadav, Engineering Leader & Head – Data Platforms Head. The newly constituted team, which has a combined expertise of over 60 years, will be responsible with enhancing engineering capabilities and ensuring that Koo’s technology is ready to handle the next level of scale.
