KISS Deemed to be University will host its inaugural convocation for graduating students

KISS, based in Odisha, was founded in 1992-93. On June 27, 2021, Deemed to be University will host its inaugural convocation for graduating students. The ceremony will take place in a hybrid manner, with both physical and virtual elements, and will follow the COVID-19 procedures. For successfully finishing their Masters and M. Phil courses, 143 students will be awarded degrees. The most promising and brightest graduates will be conferred with Founder’s Gold Medals, Chancellor’s Gold Medals and Vice Chancellor’s Silver Medals at the ceremony.

Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) is a residential educational school that provides free education, housing, medical care, vocational, athletic, and artistic training to 60,000 indigenous students from India’s eastern state of Odisha.

The students represent 62 tribal tribes in the region, 13 of which are Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs). 30,000 of these students attend the main campus in Bhubaneswar.
