In a major announcement that bridges passion, legacy, and grassroots cricket, Tiigers of Kolkata, owned by Aksha Kamboj, Executive Chairperson of Aspect Global Ventures, has welcomed Sourav Ganguly — one of India’s most celebrated cricket legends — as Co-Owner and Brand Ambassador ahead of the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) 2026 season.
The announcement was made by Aspect Sports, the sports division of Aspect Global Ventures, underscoring the franchise’s long-term vision to nurture raw cricketing talent and elevate India’s grassroots sports ecosystem.
The Tiigers of Kolkata franchise, already co-owned by Bollywood icons Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan, has been a cornerstone of the ISPL since its inception. The addition of Ganguly — affectionately known as Dada — marks a new era of leadership, strategy, and inspiration for young cricketers across the nation.
A New Chapter for Tiigers of Kolkata
The Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) has quickly risen as one of India’s most dynamic cricket platforms, combining the raw energy of street cricket with the structure and excitement of a professionally managed T10 format.
Spearheaded by cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, who serves as the league’s investor, brand ambassador, and core committee member, ISPL is focused on turning local heroes into national sensations. The league provides aspiring players from India’s lanes and by-lanes a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to showcase their skills on a national stage.
With Sourav Ganguly’s inclusion, Tiigers of Kolkata adds a leadership figure known for revolutionizing Indian cricket both on and off the field. His administrative experience as the former BCCI President and his legacy as one of India’s greatest captains bring unparalleled credibility and vision to the team.
