Tata Consumer Products, one of India’s leading FMCG companies, has appointed Sindhuu Govindarajan, a former Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) executive, as Vice President of the Foods Division. With this appointment, Govindarajan brings her extensive experience and deep understanding of India’s fast-moving consumer goods landscape to drive growth and innovation across Tata Consumer’s expanding foods portfolio.
Sharing her reflections on LinkedIn, Govindarajan expressed heartfelt gratitude for her time at HUL, where she described each day as “a source of inspiration.” She highlighted the strong relationships, mentorship, and workplace camaraderie that defined her journey at the organization, crediting them for shaping her professional values and leadership approach.
In her new role at Tata Consumer Products, Govindarajan will play a key role in strengthening the Foods business — an area of strategic focus for the company as it continues to scale its presence in both domestic and global markets. Her appointment reflects Tata Consumer’s continued emphasis on leadership excellence and category expansion within the FMCG sector.
Expressing optimism about her next chapter, Govindarajan quoted former HUL Chairman Sanjiv Mehta, saying, “From one great organisation to another, continuing to be at the heart of the India growth story.”
Her transition underscores the growing movement of senior FMCG leaders shaping India’s dynamic consumer goods ecosystem, as companies focus on innovation, brand trust, and sustainable growth.
