BP Biddappa is set to join the HUL management committee as Executive Director of Human Resources and Chief People, Transformation, and Sustainability Officer for South Asia. Pending shareholder approval, he will also become a whole-time director on the HUL board. In his new role, Biddappa will oversee the people agenda for South Asia and spearhead transformation initiatives from business, organizational, and sustainability perspectives.
Anuradha Razdan, currently Executive Director of Human Resources at HUL and Chief HR Officer for South Asia, will transition to a global role as Chief Reward and Organisation Development Officer for Unilever, effective June 1, 2024.
With over three decades of experience, Biddappa currently serves as the Chief HR Officer for Global Home Care and Head of Global Employee Relations at Unilever. He began his career at Unilever with a factory role at HUL and has since held various leadership positions across multiple Unilever businesses, including HR leadership roles in Maghreb, Bangladesh, and India.
During his previous tenure at HUL, Biddappa played a pivotal role in establishing the “Winning in Many Indias” approach, implementing an agile business unit framework in South Asia, and launching the Prabhat community development program, benefiting over 10 million Indians. In his global roles at Unilever, he led critical functions such as organization development, people analytics, and global employee relations.

Meanwhile, Rohit extended gratitude to Anuradha Razdan for her significant contributions to HUL over the past five years. Recognizing her strategic acumen in shaping a business-focused people agenda, Rohit highlighted Anuradha’s pivotal role in navigating the company through the COVID pandemic and completing the people integration for the HUL-GSK CH merger. Her elevation to a senior leadership role at Unilever reflects the exceptional talent nurtured within HUL.
