Comviva, a global leader in customer experience and data monetisation solutions, announced today that Rajesh Chandiramani has assumed the role of CEO and Whole-time Director effective June 1, 2024.
Chandiramani succeeds Manoranjan ‘Mao’ Mohapatra, who retired at the end of May after a “remarkable” tenure. Mohapatra will continue serving on Comviva’s board as a non-executive director.
The leadership transition coincides with Comviva’s 25th anniversary, underscoring its commitment to advancing as a leader in intelligent software platforms.
With over 30 years of experience in various organizations, Chandiramani joins Comviva from Tech Mahindra, where he held senior roles. As the business unit head for strategic markets in the communications, media, and entertainment vertical, he oversaw digital transformation initiatives involving cloud, data, AI, cybersecurity, and blockchain technologies.
Previously, Chandiramani drove significant expansion as head of Tech Mahindra’s APAC enterprise business across various verticals. His five years leading the Europe business were transformative for the company’s enterprise and telecom operations across the continent.
“Rajesh’s appointment reflects our commitment to sustained growth and innovation,” said Atul Soneja, Comviva’s board chairman. “With his experience and vision, we look forward to further strengthening our global leadership.”
Chandiramani said he is “extremely thrilled” to join Comviva during “an exciting digital era” and aims to drive impactful change by harnessing digital platforms and technology.
