Flipkart has appointed Anuj Rathi as the new CEO of its travel booking division, Cleartrip, succeeding Ayyappan R, according to a report by ET.
Cleartrip has been without a CEO since the departure of Ayyappan R, a former Flipkart executive. Anuj Rathi, who previously served as the chief product and marketing officer at fintech firm Jupiter, assumed his new role in September of the previous year.
Rathi returns to Flipkart after a 12-year absence, having held various positions at Walmart’s parent company, Snapdeal, and Swiggy. At Swiggy, he served for over seven years, eventually departing as the Senior VP of Revenue and Growth. A graduate of IIT Kanpur, Rathi brings over 18 years of industry experience to his new role.
