Zen Mobility, has unveiled its state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in Manesar, Gurgaon, marking a significant milestone in the company’s growth trajectory. The innovative facility is poised to redefine urban mobility by scaling up production to meet the growing demand for eco-friendly micro-mobility solutions.
Situated across a vast 2.5-acre campus, the new manufacturing plant not only showcases Zen Mobility’s commitment to leveraging advanced technology and infrastructure but also promises to generate employment opportunities for over 500 individuals. With a remarkable capacity of 50,000 units per year, the facility will focus on manufacturing and assembling the Zen Micro Pods, the company’s flagship electric vehicles designed for urban commuters.
Apart from manufacturing, the plant houses state-of-the-art research and development facilities dedicated to design engineering and product planning. It also features comprehensive testing capabilities, including roller testing and dyno testing, ensuring stringent quality and safety standards for all Zen Mobility products.
Expressing his excitement about the inauguration, Namit Jain, Founder and CEO of Zen Mobility, emphasized the company’s commitment to delivering eco-friendly mobility solutions. He stated, “The unveiling of our state-of-the-art facility underscores our dedication to providing sustainable urban mobility solutions. With our order book increased to 10,000 units, the plant will be operating in two shifts to fulfill the orders. Our enhanced production capabilities and advanced testing facilities enable us to offer effective fleet management solutions to E-commerce and fleet companies.”
A notable feature of the new facility is its ability to offer complete in-house customization for innovative cargo box solutions, catering to various applications such as e-commerce, grocery delivery, and FMCG logistics. By integrating customization capabilities into its manufacturing process, Zen Mobility aims to address the unique needs of urban logistics and deliver tailored solutions to its customers.
Zen Mobility has collaborated with major food, grocery delivery, and e-commerce firms to deploy vehicles across more than 10 cities in India, thereby enhancing income opportunities for delivery riders and facilitating efficient fleet management for e-commerce and fleet operators. With the prestigious Homologation Certificate of Conformity, Zen Mobility ensures compliance with industry regulations, demonstrating its dedication to manufacturing excellence. Additionally, Zen Mobility’s product stands out with patented design and powertrain technologies. Anticipated customer trials for the Zen Maxi Pod are scheduled to commence in Q4 FY25, with the official launch planned in FY26.
