Maruti Suzuki India has promoted Satish Mohapatra to the position of Executive Vice President and Head of Business and Corporate HR, effective April 1. Mohapatra previously served as Vice President and Head of Central HR before assuming his new role.
Expressing his excitement about the appointment, Mohapatra shared the news on social media, stating, “Excited to share that yours truly is taking on a new role as ‘EVP & Head Business and Corporate HR’ at Maruti Suzuki India Limited effective 1st April 2024! Gratitude to each of my wonderful seniors, colleagues, and stakeholders at #marutisuzuki for their kind support over the last one year, and sincere thanks to all my friends out here for your blessings and best wishes!”
Prior to joining Maruti Suzuki in 2023, Mohapatra accumulated over 16 years of experience at Siemens, where he held the position of Vice President and Head of People & Organisation (HR) for Smart Infrastructure, South Asia. He has also held various roles at Atos, Siemens Technology India, Indian Oil Corporation, and Tata Communications (VSNL).
