Socomec named Nida Khanam as HR Head

Socomec, a company specializing in Low Voltage (LV) power management, has appointed Nida Khanam as the new HR Head for the Greater India region, which includes India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Maldives, Bhutan, and Nepal. With over two decades of HR experience, Khanam brings a wealth of expertise in HR strategy development, change management, and organizational development.

Before joining Socomec India, Khanam served as the Chief People Officer for Omega Seiki Mobility Pvt Ltd, where she led HR transformation initiatives. With a diverse background spanning industries such as automotive, manufacturing, and technology, she has demonstrated her ability to drive talent management and organizational effectiveness.

In her new role, she will oversee HR functions across commercial and plant operations, focusing on enhancing employee engagement and talent development. She aims to strengthen the company’s position as an employer of choice by aligning HR practices with business objectives and fostering a culture of excellence.

Khanam expressed her excitement about joining Socomec India and collaborating with its dynamic team. She shared her vision of driving transformative changes in the company’s people processes and establishing Socomec India as a preferred employer. She affirmed her commitment to nurturing talent and enhancing organizational capabilities through close collaboration with the management team.

Meenu Singhal, Regional Managing Director of Socomec Greater India, welcomed her appointment, highlighting her leadership and experience in HR. Singhal also expressed gratitude to Nisha Gupta Malhotra, the outgoing HR Head, for her contributions and wished her success in her new role supporting Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives in the APAC region.

Khanam holds an ACC certification from the International Coaching Federation and has received recognition for her achievements throughout her career. She is a graduate of the Senior Management Programme from IIM-Calcutta and holds an MBA in Human Resources & Agribusiness from A.M.U.
