carandbike.com named Girish Karkera as Editor-in-Chief

Girish Vaman Karkera has been named editor-in-chief of carandbike.com, effective February 1, 2023.

The largest integrated hyper-local platform for information and commerce in India is carandbike. In his new position, Girish will oversee editorial projects aimed at producing smart and interesting automotive content for a varied and enthusiastic car and motorcycle readership.

Having followed the Indian auto industry for more than 20 years and charted its development, Girish brings to car&bike a wealth of knowledge and experience. Prior to working with the car&bike team, he served as Editor of BBC Top Gear India for over ten years as well as Consultant Editor of Times Auto. His journalism career began more than 25 years ago at The Indian Express, where he also worked for organisations including Haymarket SAC Publishing (India) Pvt. Ltd. and The Indian Express.
