Balaji Telefilms named Abhishek Kumar as Group CEO

The Entertainment conglomerate Balaji Telefilms announced the appointment of Abhishek Kumar as Group Chief Executive Officer. Abhishek leaves Jupiter Capital, one of India’s oldest homegrown Private Equity Funds, where he was the COO and General Partner of the group’s new Funds. Prior to joining Jupiter Capital, Abhishek was the Managing Partner of Rainforest Venture Network, as well as an Advisor and Partner to multiple family offices for technology and consumer investments.

Commenting on having Abhishek on Board, Shobha Kapoor, Managing Director, Balaji Telefilms said “We are pleased to have Abhishek as Group CEO, and are confident that he is the right person to lead Balaji to the next stage of growth and value creation.
