Snapdeal Limited, India’s top value e-commerce platform, today announced Himanshu Chakrawarti’s appointment as President.
Himanshu will be in charge of a number of functions at Snapdeal, including driving the company’s Bharat-focused value commerce strategy and overseeing different development and operational initiatives.
Himanshu was the CEO of Unlimited Fashion, Arvind Lifestyle Brands’ value fashion retail network focused on affordable fashion garments and accessories for men, women, and children, prior to joining Snapdeal. V-Mart Retail purchased Unlimited Fashion earlier this year, expanding its national footprint by approximately 75 outlets in West and South India.
Himanshu was in charge of creating the strategic direction and directing the whole operation at Unlimited Fashion, which included curating brands and assortments, product design guidance, and pricing strategy. In addition, he oversaw the direct connection of over 75 locations with leading e-commerce platforms, allowing for real-time inventory visibility and delivery.
Before joining Unlimited Fashion, he was the CEO of Hi-Care Services, which was backed by the leading PE Fund, True North. As the CEO of Essar-owned The Mobile Store from 2011-2015, he had a ringside view of India’s fast-growing retail market for smartphones.

An alumnus of IIT Kanpur and IIM Bangalore, Himanshu brings over 30 years of rich experience in the retail sector in building lifestyle brands.
