Mosaic

Mosaic Wellness, a health & wellness start-up running digital health clinic platforms – ManMatters, and Bodywise, has announced the appointment of Shouvik Ghosh Roy as Chief Technology Officer. The ambitious move comes right after the company raised US$ 24 million in a Series A funding round led by Sequoia Capital India with participation from existing investors Elevation Capital and Matrix Partners India.

With over 10 years of experience in the technology industry, Shouvik brings a high level of expertise in driving forward technology functions and solutions; Previously he was instrumental in building the initial Dream11 team, then taking on roles to lead engineering for new projects such as SportsGuru (later FanCode), IPL Seasonlong, etc. Subsequently, he was a part of the founding team for DreamX which incubated brands like DreamSetGo and DreamPay, etc. The new CTO hire demonstrates Mosaic Wellness’s focus on attracting the best talent across its technology team, laying the foundation to scale the platform further and transform customer experiences across the brand’s diverse set of digital healthcare platforms- ManMatters, and Bodywise.

Commenting on the appointment, Mosaic Wellness Co-founder & CEO, Revant Bhate said, “As we continue to scale and think about what the future of digital-friendly health platform will look like, the technology powering Mosaic Wellness plays an integral part in creating efficiencies and providing our customers with the best experience possible. Shouvik has the experience, savviness, and leadership to help us make that vision a reality.”

Shouvik Ghosh Roy, CTO, said, “I’m truly honored to take on this mantle, working closely with the leadership team at Mosaic Wellness and to be working with businesses that have technology-powered innovation at the core of its strategy. I am also excited about building a world-class technology team working on transformational technology systems that will improve customer lives by leveraging its strength to scale access to healthcare from the comfort of their homes.”

The engineering team at Mosaic Wellness is working on creating a micro services stack to cater to 15 Million+ MAU (monthly active users). There are also complex engineering challenges to building high-quality front-end systems to deliver the best-in-class experience across all the individual clinics. The ability to sustain 1M Telehealth consults every month and a community of 1M+ users engaging with each other daily is a great challenge to take up.
