PNB Named In Kalyan Kumar As Executive Director

Shri Kalyan Kumar has been appointed as Executive Director of Punjab National Bank (PNB), a renowned public sector bank in India. The former Union Bank of India Chief General Manager has over 26 years of banking expertise.

Shri Kalyan Kumar is appointed to the Bank’s Board of Directors under the Banking Companies Act, 1970, for a three-year term beginning on the day of his appointment or until further orders, whichever comes first.

Kumar joined Union Bank of India in 1995 as a Rural Development officer and has since worked in various capacities for the bank, including Branch Head of VLBs, faculty at Staff Training Centres, Staff College Principal, a stint in Vigilance and Business Process Transformation and Amalgamation Management at the Corporate Office, and most recently as CGM HR.

According to the statement, his experience and contributions span many areas, including Branch Banking, Credit and MSME, Vigilance, Business Process Re-Engineering and Analytics, Amalgamation Management, and Human Resource Management, including Learning and Development and Talent Management.
