Smallcase, a stock investment platform, raised $40 million in a Series C round headed by Faering Capital on Wednesday. Faering’s Managing Director and Co-Founder Sameer Shroff will also join the board of the Bengaluru-based business.
New investors Amazon Smbhav Venture Fund (ASFV) and Premji Invest joined the startup, as did current investors Amazon & Premji Invest, and existing investors including Sequoia Capital, Blume Ventures, Beenext, DSP Group, Arkam Ventures, WEH Ventures & HDFC Bank.
smallcase is a firm that builds direct indexing and model portfolios of stocks and ETFs. It was created in 2015 by Vasanth Kamath, Anugrah Shrivastava, and Rohan Gupta. Smallcase claims to have developed more than 250 business solutions thus far.
