Waterbridge Ventures and Lumikai Fund (India’s first gaming and interactive media fund) co-led a $2.1 million pre-Series A round for Bengaluru-based creator-led live social gaming platform EloElo on Tuesday. Better Capital and Exceed Entertainment, a talent management agency, also took part in the round.
Eloelo was founded in August 2020 by Saurabh Pandey and Akshay Dubey, an IIT-IIM founder duo with experience at P&G, GoZoomo, and Flipkart. It brings indigenous activities such as tambola, antakshari, chidiya udd, musical chairs, and talented performers in live formats with creators hosting games for their community of fans.
EloElo claims to have had a 15X increase in users in the last six months, surpassing one million users on its platform and recording over 100 million game events. Over the last three months, the platform has naturally onboarded over 15,000 influencers.
