Emversity Partners with Lemon Tree Hotels for skill development

Emversity

New Delhi, India: Emversity, India’s leading industry-skilling and talent development network, has announced a strategic partnership with Lemon Tree Hotels, one of India’s fastest-growing hotel chains, to address workforce and skills gaps in the country’s expanding hospitality sector.

This collaboration aims to create a pipeline of industry-ready professionals by integrating students from Emversity’s NSDC-aligned Hotel Management Diploma Program into Lemon Tree Hotels’ properties across multiple cities in India.

Work-Integrated Learning Model for Industry Readiness

The Emversity–Lemon Tree partnership is built on a work-integrated learning model, combining six months of classroom instruction with 1.5 years of full-time internships in key hotel operations departments, including:

  • Front Office

  • Housekeeping

  • Food & Beverage Service

Through this blended approach, students gain hands-on experience and real-world exposure, ensuring they are job-ready from day one upon completing the program.

Bridging the Learning-to-Employment Gap

Rajesh Kumar, Senior Vice President – Human Resources, Lemon Tree Hotels, emphasized the importance of the collaboration, saying:

“Currently, most colleges provide only basic theoretical knowledge, leaving a gap between learning and real-world job requirements. Emversity’s initiative bridges this gap by providing entry-level talent and skill-based education. Their courses and teaching strategy will empower students with well-rounded experiential learning, and coupled with the various moments of truth, we are confident this partnership will benefit the hospitality industry as a whole.”

Empowering Youth Through Practical Skilling

Vivek Sinha, Founder & CEO, Emversity, added:

“This partnership with Lemon Tree Hotels represents the perfect integration of skilling and industry. By combining Emversity’s work-integrated learning model with Lemon Tree’s operational excellence, we are creating a direct bridge between classrooms and careers. The partnership will empower young Indians with practical skills and real-world experience, helping them build meaningful livelihoods in the hospitality sector.”

Expanding Opportunities Across India’s Hospitality Sector

The partnership will initially begin at select Lemon Tree Hotels properties, with expansion plans across additional locations nationwide. The long-term goal is to strengthen India’s hospitality workforce, align education with industry needs, and create sustainable employment pathways for aspiring professionals.

By integrating skill-based education with on-ground training, this initiative aims to elevate the quality of human capital across the hospitality industry — a crucial step as India continues to grow as a global tourism and hospitality destination.
