Schneider Electric, a global leader in digital energy management and automation, has announced its plan to develop a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility at Horizon Industrial Park Hosur, near Shoolagiri, Tamil Nadu. The new plant will focus on enhancing Schneider Electric IT Business’ capabilities in the production, sales, and trading of Battery Management Products (BMS), including Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems, Power Distribution Units (PDU), cooling solutions, and other electronic accessories.
Spread over 500,000 square feet, the upcoming Grade A industrial facility is strategically situated along the Bangalore–Chennai National Highway, ensuring seamless connectivity to both Bengaluru and Chennai markets. This prime location will significantly boost Schneider Electric’s distribution and operational efficiencies across southern India.
Two-Phase Development with Focus on Sustainability
The development will take place in two phases in partnership with Horizon Industrial Parks, a leading integrated logistics and industrial infrastructure provider backed by Blackstone Real Estate funds.

Phase 1 will feature a dust-free facility with modern office spaces, advanced fire safety systems, expanded industrial power capacity, and optimized workspace planning for an initial workforce of 1,500 employees (both direct and indirect).

Phase 2 will deliver a high-spec, custom-built facility tailored to Schneider Electric’s advanced manufacturing requirements, expected to be completed within 7 months.
