KRR Aerospace Acquires Advanced UAV Technology from CSIR-NAL, Strengthening Leadership in Aerospace Innovation

KRR Aerospace, the aerospace, defense, and space division of KRR Heavy Engineering, is proud to announce its acquisition of advanced drone and UAV technology from the prestigious Council of Scientific and Industrial Research – National Aerospace Laboratories (CSIR-NAL), Bengaluru. This acquisition aligns with KRR Aerospace’s mission to push the boundaries of aerospace innovation and enhance its capabilities in unmanned aerial systems, complementing its market leadership in autoclave technologies.

The technology transfer agreement was formalized on September 4, 2024, and signed by Dr. Sakthivel Ramaswamy, MD & CEO of KRR Aerospace, with the handover from Dr. Abhay A Pashilkar, Director of CSIR-NAL. This partnership represents a significant boost to KRR Aerospace’s technological portfolio, combining the expertise of two industry leaders to drive advancements in unmanned aerial systems.

Revolutionary UAVs for Diverse Applications

The UAV technologies acquired from CSIR-NAL include:

  • NAL OCTA-COPTER DRONE: A versatile UAV with autonomous capabilities and interchangeable payloads for various uses.
  • NAL OCTA-AGRI: Optimized for agriculture, it enables precision pesticide spraying and hyperspectral imaging, supporting sustainable farming practices.
  • NAL OCTA-MED: Designed for emergency medical deliveries, capable of swiftly transporting medical supplies to remote areas.
  • NAL OCTA-GEO: Specialized for geophysical exploration, ideal for geological surveys and remote sensing.
