Godrej Industries (Chemicals) has welcomed Poonam Burman as its new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), effective from April.
Announcing her appointment on LinkedIn, Poonam expressed her excitement about joining Godrej Industries Limited (Chemicals) and thanked her colleagues at Unilever for their support and the enriching experiences she gained there.
Bringing nearly three decades of strategic HR business partnering experience across various industries such as FMCG, IT Product development, Automobiles, Textiles, Oil & Gas Engineering services, Mining products and services, and Telecom, Poonam joins Godrej Industries from Unilever.
During her tenure at Unilever, Poonam served as the business HR leader for the beauty and well-being and personal care business group. Additionally, she held interim HR Director roles for Unilever Srilanka and served as the Category HR Head for South Asia in the Beauty Well-Being and Personal Care division.
Prior to her role at Unilever, Poonam has contributed her expertise to organizations like Haldia Petrochemicals and Lexmark. Her vast experience and leadership skills are expected to bring valuable insights to her new role at Godrej Industries (Chemicals).
