BharatPe has appointed Nalin Negi as the new CEO of the company. Negi has been serving in this role on an interim basis since January 2023 after Suhail Sameer exited the company.
Before assuming the role of CEO, Negi served as the chief financial officer of the fintech major. He joined the company in August 2022.
With over 28 years of experience in the fintech and banking sector, Negi joined BharatPe from SBI Cards where he spent five years as CFO. Negi also held positions at GE Capital Services India as controller and Exl Services.
In FY23, BharatPe recorded a 182% increase in revenue from Rs 321 Cr in FY22 to Rs 904 Cr in FY23 from operations. The company also made significant progress in reducing loss before tax, plummeting from Rs 5,594 Cr to Rs 886 Cr. Additionally, the EBITDA loss also decreased by approximately Rs 158 Cr, showcasing focused efforts towards financial sustainability.
