The appointment comes as HUL continues to strengthen its leadership bench amid intensifying competition and rapid shifts in consumer behaviour, digital adoption, and channel dynamics across the FMCG sector.
Over 13 Years of Experience at HUL
Ravikumar has spent more than 13 years at Hindustan Unilever, building deep expertise across brand management, digital commerce, and large-scale portfolio leadership. In his most recent role, he served as Global Brand Director for Lux and Lifebuoy, two of Unilever’s most iconic personal care brands with a strong presence across emerging and developed markets.

Early Career and Global Exposure
Ravikumar began his journey with Unilever in 2011 as part of a Sales and Marketing internship, where he worked on deodorants category strategy across diverse international markets, including Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Russia, and Turkey. Over the years, he has played key roles in navigating evolving consumer expectations, accelerating digital-first brand building, and strengthening HUL’s marketing capabilities across touchpoints.
Leading One of India’s Largest Personal Care Portfolios
As CMO – Personal Care India, Ravikumar will oversee marketing for one of the largest and most competitive FMCG portfolios in the country, spanning soaps, skincare, hygiene, and other personal care categories. His mandate will include driving brand relevance, digital-led growth, and integrated marketing strategies in a market that is becoming increasingly premiumised, competitive, and innovation-driven.
Industry observers see his appointment as a strategic move, combining deep brand-building expertise with strong eCommerce and channel management experience, at a time when personal care consumption in India is undergoing rapid transformation.
