PUMA has announced the appointment of Thomas as its new Global Head of Human Resources, bringing with him nearly three decades of experience in HR leadership across industries such as sporting goods, aviation, automotive, and energy solutions.
Before joining PUMA, Thomas served as Senior Vice President of Global Human Resources at Landis+Gyr, a global leader in energy management and smart metering solutions. At Landis+Gyr, he led large-scale transformation initiatives and executed HR strategies across more than 30 countries, driving organizational efficiency and cultural alignment.
Earlier in his career, Thomas held senior HR roles at KLM, adidas, and Mann+Hummel, where he built a reputation for aligning people strategies with business growth. His expertise spans leadership development, talent management, change management, and fostering inclusive, high-performance cultures.
Commenting on the appointment, PUMA CEO Arthur Hoeld said,
“Thomas offers a wealth of experience when it comes to human resources strategy, organizational development, and leadership. He is deeply familiar with the challenges and opportunities of our industry, and I am confident that his strong background in transformation and global HR management will help take PUMA’s operational excellence to the next level.”
Thomas succeeds Dietmar Knoess, who has decided to pursue new opportunities outside the company. With his proven track record in global HR strategy and organizational transformation, Thomas’s leadership marks a key step in PUMA’s continued growth and commitment to empowering people across its global operations.
