Pepe Jeans London, one of India’s leading denim and lifestyle brands, has announced the appointment of Rakesh Jallipally as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective July 24, 2025. With over 18 years of leadership experience in fashion, retail, and consumer technology, Jallipally is poised to bring fresh strategic direction and operational excellence to strengthen the brand’s presence across the country.
This leadership move marks a significant step in Pepe Jeans’ journey to deepen its connection with India’s dynamic and evolving consumer base. Known for his business acumen and transformative brand-building capabilities, Rakesh has consistently played a pivotal role in scaling high-growth ventures and expanding their market footprint.
Prior to joining Pepe Jeans, Rakesh served as Vice President at Flipkart, where he spearheaded the launch and expansion of “Spoyl,” a fashion platform tailored to Gen Z audiences. He also led the men’s fashion vertical, combining digital-first strategies with deep consumer insights to drive impactful growth.
His earlier tenure at Reliance Retail saw him play a key role in the launch of AZORTE, further cementing his reputation as a trailblazer in India’s fashion retail ecosystem. Rakesh also spent nearly a decade at Arvind Fashions Ltd., where he held CEO and COO roles, overseeing the transformation and growth of iconic brands such as USPA and Flying Machine. His career began at Raymond Ltd., where he managed expansive retail operations across South India.
Academically, Rakesh holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from IIM Lucknow, with a specialization in Marketing and Strategy—equipping him with the ideal blend of theoretical knowledge and real-world business leadership.
