Abhishek Chawla has been named Vice-President, Engineering at BYJU’S, the premier educational technology firm. BYJU’S has significantly scaled its technology and engineering vertical over the last few months as it continues to invest in the tremendous synergy of technology, innovation, and education. Abhishek’s appointment is part of a larger plan to improve BYJU’s world-class learning products, accelerate creative development, and make a big difference.
Abhishek’s new role will see him overseeing BYJU’s supply chain and payment systems across the company’s entire product line. He’ll also give teams the tools they need to provide long-term value to customers and improve the user experience through technology advancements. He will also plan, manage, and monitor various activities within the department to ensure the development of efficient operations and cost-effective systems.

Abhishek has vast experience in the design, development, implementation, management, and production support of large scale and high availability applications, with over 16 years of experience. He has developed and led COEs as well as owning and developing technology in the areas of Wallets, User Platforms, and travel, among other things.
Abhishek worked for Paytm before joining BYJU’S. Previously, he held executive positions at Expedia. He brings with him a wealth of experience in the design and development of innovative consumer products from around the world.
