Chetak Technology, Bajaj Auto’s electric vehicle division, has named Abraham Joseph as its Managing Director.
Abraham has been a part of Bajaj Auto since July 1989, starting as a Graduate Trainee Engineer (GTE) and later serving as the Chief Technology Officer.
“We are pleased to appoint Abraham Joseph as the Managing Director of Chetak Technology Ltd,” reads a social media post.
“Over the past six years, he has spearheaded the establishment and growth of the EV R&D organization, Chetak Technology R&D. He has nurtured the Chetak R&D unit, ensuring its readiness with the necessary capabilities, infrastructure, and technology. With extensive experience in building leading technology organizations, He is well-positioned to lead Chetak and its leaders in becoming a dominant force, driving innovation in the evolving EV landscape.”
Alongside Abraham Joseph’s appointment as MD of Chetak Technology Ltd., Bajaj Auto has also appointed Ramtilak Ananthan as the Chief Technology Officer.
Ramtilak joined Bajaj Auto in 1994 and holds an MS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Iowa, USA. In 2013, he was promoted to Vice President – R&D, overseeing Commercial Vehicle CAE & Vehicle testing along with 2Wh CAE & testing.
