Dr. Parshant Kumar Goyal, an accomplished civil servant currently serving as Joint Secretary in the Department of Financial Services under the Ministry of Finance, has added significant feathers to his cap with recent appointments by the Union Government.
In a move aimed at bolstering governance in the insurance sector, Dr. Goyal has been appointed as the Government Nominee Director on the Boards of the National Insurance Academy (NIA) and the National Insurance Company Limited (NICL). His wealth of experience and expertise in financial matters is poised to contribute to the strategic direction and oversight of these esteemed institutions.
Additionally, Dr. Goyal has been nominated as a member of the Council of the Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI), further highlighting his commitment to enhancing the standards and practices within the actuarial profession.
A distinguished member of the 2007 batch Tripura cadre, Dr. Goyal brings a diverse skill set and a proven track record of leadership to his new roles. With an MBBS degree from Punjabi University, he has previously served in pivotal positions, including Secretary to the Chief Minister of Tripura. His tenure also saw him shouldering additional responsibilities as Secretary of the GA (C&C) Department and Secretary of the Industries & Commerce Department.
