Anirban Chakraborti has more than two decades of academic experience. Prior to joining BMU, he was a Professor and former Dean of JNU’s School of Computational and Integrative Sciences in Delhi, as well as an Associate Professor at Ecole Centrale Paris’ Chair of Quantitative Finance and a Lecturer in Theoretical Physics at Banaras Hindu University in Varanasi.
Chakraborti is a smart academician who has completed two postdoctoral research projects, one at the US Department of Energy’s Brookhaven National Laboratory and the other at Helsinki University of Technology’s Laboratory of Computational Engineering. He earned his Ph.D. in Physics from India’s Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics, and then went on to accomplish his Habilitation (HDR) in Physics from Pierre and Marie Curie University, Paris, France.
His pioneering scientific contributions have been published as books, edited volumes, and research articles in journals of high international renown, resulting in wide effect across numerous domains. He was given the prestigious Young Scientist Medal of the Indian National Science Academy in 2009.
