Ninety One Cycles named Sairam Subramanian as CMO

Sairam Subramanian has been appointed as the Chief Marketing Officer of Ninety One Cycles, one of India’s fastest-growing active lifestyle businesses. Ninety One’s initiatives to invest in and establish an experienced leadership team are aligned with the new appointment. Sairam will oversee the entire marketing operation in order to boost Ninety One’s brand equity.

Sairam, a graduate of the Indian Institute of Management in Kozhikode, was a key member of Unilever’s executive team as the General Manager of Lakme during his most recent appointment. He worked with Unilever for 14 years in a variety of sales and marketing roles. Sairam has held crucial positions such as Dove’s Global Brand Manager, Hair Care’s Marketing Manager, and Home Care’s Customer Marketing Director.

Speaking on the appointment, Sachin Chopra, Co-founder and CEO of Ninety One Cycles said, “We are delighted to announce the appointment of Sairam Subramanian as the Chief Marketing Officer of the company. Ninety One has recently closed its Series A funding of ~US$ 30 million from marquee investors such as Avaana Capital, Titan Capital, A91 Partners and Fireside Ventures. The amount will be invested towards the state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in Gujarat, e-cycles portfolio and expansion into global markets. Following the capital injection, Ninety One, the make in India, make for the world brand from AlphaVector (India) Pvt. Ltd., is now valued at ~INR 1,000 crores.
