International Art Machine, the worldwide entertainment studio founded by Amazon Video founder Roy Price, has hired Karishma Naina Sharma, a film and television executive, to lead International Television and bring their global vision to life.
Karishma will bring her considerable experience in the Indian and worldwide markets to help construct a creative vision with an international perspective as Head of International Television/OTT. Sharma previously worked for Balaji Motion Pictures as the Head of Development and Creative Vice President, where she developed and produced over 20 feature films under the direction of television veterans Ekta Kapoor and Sameer Nair.
Karishma will continue to leverage her wide network to bring cultures, stories, talent, and ideas together in the world of entertainment with studio International Art Machine, having worked with some of the biggest names in the industry abroad as well as in India.
With an amazing slate of OTT exhibitions and collaborations that Karishma helped organise, International Art Machines’ recent arrival into India caused ripples. They’ll start with Amish Tripathi’s Shiva Trilogy, followed by collaborations with Shekhar Kapur, Preity G Zinta, Dibakar Banerjee, Suparn S Varma, and others to be announced. Karishma, who will be based both worldwide and in Mumbai, will be in charge of the studio’s Asian operations. She is ready to hit the ground running and take the studio international.
