Flipkart’s ‘India Ka Fashion Capital’ campaign, now in its ninth season, has a new look. The advertisement, which stars Bollywood actors Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, urges people to update not only their fashion closets, but everything else in their everyday lives, from beauty and personal care to home furniture and design.

According to Prasanth Naidu, director of marketing at Flipkart, the company has a solid grasp of client needs, which has enabled it supply customers with best-in-class services over the years. “Today’s buyers want a trendy lifestyle that is both accessible and cost-effective. Our goal with this campaign is to position Flipkart as a low-cost lifestyle destination that meets a wide range of demands and appeals to a diverse clientele across India. We are confident that Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt will strike a chord with our target demographic and encourage them to visit Flipkart.

Following the wedding season, the new campaign features the newest influencer-inspired ethnic wear as well as exotic options for home furniture and decor, aimed at aspirational buyers who may be on the fence about making an online purchase. The campaign, which was created in conjunction with McCann World Group, aims to capture the essence of Flipkart as India’s Fashion Capital, which offers an unrivalled selection, quality, price, and access to the most diverse spectrum of brands.

 

The campaign is live on television and digital platforms for a period of 14 weeks. Set on a college campus, these TVCs are aimed at the youth whose aspirations for high-quality fashion are ever-evolving but their doubts at times, come in the way of their desires. The TVCs feature characters portrayed by Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt as college friends, showcasing their fun relationship with their quirky professor.
