Sanjeev S has been appointed as a member of ACKO’s leadership team. Sanjeev will also join the ACKO Insurance Board of Directors.
ACKO aspires to reshape the protection category for customers in a significant way. The company intends to join the health insurance market and just announced a $250 million Series D financing, making it India’s newest Unicorn. General Atlantic and Multiples Private Equity lead the fundraising effort. Existing investors Intact Ventures and Munich Re Ventures also participated in the round, as did the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board and Lightspeed.

An industry veteran, Sanjeev has over 20 years of experience working with leading companies such as Fullerton India Credit, and ING Vysya Life Insurance, among others. He has taken on diverse roles in the sector ranging from sales, planning, and distribution to marketing and managing business across different verticals. Sanjeev’s last role was the CEO of Bharti AXA General Insurance which recently merged with ICICI Lombard.
