Procter & Gamble named Shailesh Jejurikar as Global COO

Procter & Gamble announced the appointment of Shailesh Jejurikar as chief operating officer, effective October 1, 2021. As chief operating officer, Shailesh will be responsible for P&G’s business markets (Latin America, India, Middle East, Africa, Southeast Asia, and Eastern Europe). He will also direct the company’s information technology, global business services, sales, marketing operations, new business, procurement, manufacturing and distribution. Shailesh is currently the CEO of Fabric & Home Care, P&G’s largest business unit, which includes many of P&G’s most iconic brands: Tide, Ariel, Downy, Gain, Febreze, Swiffer, accounting for about one-third of the company’s total sales and Net profit. In this position, Shailesh leads the team to provide industry-leading results and value creation through innovation (R&D), synchronized end-to-end supply chain, brand promotion and sales.

Shailesh’s extensive career at P&G spans multiple businesses (P&G Health & Beauty Care, Home Care, Fabric Care and Specialty) in developed and developing regions (North America, Europe, Asia and Africa). Due to his extensive experience in brand development in local, regional, global and cross-service industries and his passion for brand building, he has consistently achieved strong business results in all markets and all businesses. It has the unique ability to recognize the possibility of growth.
